For the first time in a while, I’m designing a PCB for a personal project which has significant analog circuitry. So I needed a refresher on stack ups, ground planes, etc. After poking around YouTube and finding videos that spend either spend too much time and/or provide too much and/or too little info, I found a keeper: a channel by Hans Rosenberg. 10-15 minutes each, very practical.
I’ve learned a lot from these about topics I wasn’t even looking to learn about; for example, I knew that derating capacitors is a best practice, but not how bad things can get if you’re not thoughtful! The video below taught me to be very afraid (and the lesson, as always, is to read and think before designing). Thanks Hans!
